DONT BARGAIN
You have come to your doctor to avail his services , to get the best out of his capabilities , expertise and experience. it is not just a box of Surf Exel that will be the same if u bought it for 100 Rs or 80 Rs !
By bargaining directly or by showing your 'PRESS' , 'LAWYER', 'INCOME TAX DEPTT' cards or telling you are a relative of that minister or that u are a police mulazim you are not just saving that 50 Rupees consultation or may be a discount in some other fee, you are simply irritating your physician and u will no longer get the best out of him.
Again, you jump to pay for expensive cinema tickets, pay hefty tips to waiters dont bother to look at the prices of a fine dine restaurant, will pay a fortune for those designer glasses or a bag .But for your doctor ? Why bargain there where your inside will be explored by an ultrasound or by a stethoscope and the person is using his life time's expertise and experience to find your fault and make u a healthy person again, getting rid u of a stone, a cancer, fever , restoring your eyesight, taking care of your unborn baby and a lots more u know ..... PLEASE DONT BARGAIN WITH YOUR DOCTOR.
As a doctor I know the value of time of a professional and I try to pay for their services even if in my own profession [ i succeed at times and i dont at other times]

That was a thoughtfully written piece which has carried a lot of good relevant points regarding communications between doctor and patients and how they can use the services in a better more efficient manner.Patient will be on time and with appointment for PVR but not for his doctors. That was interesting and gives a good insight into how much they take others for granted.
Looking forward to hearing about what patients should expect from us.
